The TANHO Spacer Dampers for Twin, Tri, Quad and Hex Bundles feature elastomer damping elements engineered to absorb
maximum energy. This design provides the greatest possible resistance to conductor fatigue by eliminating the need for additional
vibration dampers. The design was developed maintaining a light overall weight and exceptional performance.
As such, this design is more robust and is well suited for areas where traditional spacer dampers have experienced premature
performance problems or failures. Spacers are designed to maintain specified subconductor spacing.
Furthermore they are designed to withstand the forces and movements caused by transient conditions such as short circuit
differential icing and wind loading, without either causing damage to the subconductors or sustaining damage themselves.
The clamp design was developed specifically to eliminate the variables involved with other types of fasteners.
When properly installed it exerts a positive vibration proof grip on the conductor.
Correct installation is easily verified from the ground. The spacer is flexible enough to allow some longitudinal movement between
subconductors, and yet rigid enough to restrain the subconductors under adverse conditions. The range of spacers are designed to
accommodate conductor sizes and all bundle configurations. Although the elastomer cushioned housing is designed to minimise
conductor damage, vibration dampers must be used on lines subjected to aeolian vibration.
  Flexible Spacers for horizontal
and vertical twin bundles
The FJQ Spacers for aluminium-, al-alloy-, ACSR-, AACSR- and
alumoweld conductors. It consist of two movable clamps which
are linked with a elastomer lined strap. The clamps are made of
two clamp halves which are connected by a steel bolt, to give
them optimum movement in all directions in case of relative
movements of the conductors of the bundle. An elastomer lined
clamp that minimises damaging static compressive stresses on
the conductor while providing high slip strength. The clamp action
makes this spacer easy to use with the clamp being fastened by
the action of the locking pin. This method of clamping ensures
that the clamp is always properly fastened, with a controlled
amount of force exerted through the rubber onto the conductor.
And it simple to install and will shipped fully assembled (no loose
parts). The bolt provides a clear indication that the proper
installation torque has been achieved (no special tools required).

Materials:
Clamps: high strength aluminium alloy.
Strap: steel, hot dip galvanised
Clamp liner: an elastomer compound specially formulated for
resistance to ozone, ultraviolet, weathering, high and low temper
ature variations and compression set.
