Splice assemblies for AAAC&ACSR conductors consist of an
aluminum outer extrusion splice body and steel an inner steel
tubular core. The two piece design ensures design strength
equivalent to the conductor onto which the fitting is applied.
Each fitting is manufactured with internal and external tapers,
to eliminate stresses associated with compression, and reduce
corona discharge.
